The members of Del Rio are proud of the traditions and fine reputation that have developed since the club opened in 1946. Our members and guests indulge in a championship golf course, with 27 holes of pure bliss nestled in the Central Valley. The first 18 holes were designed on a simple cocktail napkin by the famous architect, Bill Bell, in 1946 and the scenic River 9 course was added in 1997. Enriched by history and a balance of new age, we blend the traditional game of golf with exciting social experiences. Our state-of -the -art practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, and more. We pride ourselves on having the best professional instruction available.

Our commitment to excellence isn’t limited to our golf course. Del Rio Country Club is a social and dining hub with a focus on personal attention and full range of dining experiences. Join friends and make new ones while dining at either of our two full-service dining venues or dine alfresco on the expanded patio with views of the 18th hole. Our Chef and culinary team are focused on quality and consistency with a Farm to Table approach. We also have a great wine club and wine tasting events giving our members access to exceptional varietals of wine.

Allow your body to be renewed in our new 3000 sq. ft. fitness Center. Providing a full array of equipment for all your workout needs, along with classes to get the heart pumping. Be inspired by a supportive gym community to help achieve your fitness goals. Del Rio’s seven outdoor lighted tennis courts have all been completely resurfaced and are available for our members and guests to enjoy a match! We now have six brand-new pickleball courts and leagues throughout the seasons. Professional lessons are available by appointment with our Pros. We also have a variety of competitive tennis groups to join for a team play and exciting exhibitions during the summer. Along with tennis and pickleball, we have two popular bocce courts that you can enjoy with friends recreationally or in leagues. History of the Course
William P. Bell, whose early works included Bel-Air Country Club and Riviera Country Club, designed the original 18 holes in 1946. As they stood at the foot of the great Valley Oak, Billy Bell stated: “This is a great site for a golf course.” The sandy soil and gentle rolling terrain allowed Billy Bell to create yet another classic.

Architect Robert Muir Graves, whose work includes Sea Ranch and Black Butte, designed the River 9. After many years of negotiations with government officials and environmentalists over the plight of the valley elderberry longhorn beetle, this 150-acre combination of riparian habitat and golf course was constructed in 1996 and opened in 1997.

In 1998, architect John Harbottle, who has overseen reconstruction efforts at Los Angeles Country Club and the design of Stanford Golf Course, supervised reconstruction of all tees, greens, and bunkers on William Bell’s 18-hole layout. Harbottle also redesigned the #9 Bluff hole in 2002.
